This entry closes the open questions of 28 entries about the later volumes: what Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine change, the carry of Infection's names, the typed per-volume tables, Mutation's towns, story and bosses under the autopilot, and Outbreak's and Quarantine's towns. The triage of 2026-09-28 (UNKNOWNS.md) split every entry's open paragraph into single questions and checked each one against the later log, the docs and the code. The answered ones are listed below with their evidence. What is still open is restated at the end, with the entry that asked it, the play questions first; the Outbreak and Quarantine items predate Outbreak's story run (plans/outbreak-story.md). Open questions of these entries that belong to another subsystem are restated in that subsystem's entry: 282, 283, 284, 285, 286 and 287.

- (play) [[24]], [[40]]: the later volumes' changed event cases (Outbreak's 6, 8, 9, 60, 71, 72, 150) and their event task's order run with Infection's semantics; what fills Outbreak's and Quarantine's BSS message groups (docs/engine/events.md, event-vm.md) — Outbreak's and Quarantine's stories. - (play) [[18]], [[65]], [[98]], [[116]]:
npc_act -3(row 139's drain, witheffVirusCrystal) and-5are not ported; only Mutation's event 114 uses them (docs/engine/events.md, effects.md, field-game.md) — Mutation's event 114. - (play) [[74]], [[275]]:marker_poson a plain field (WORLD_MAN +0x438's stream) is not ported, and no event map butEVENTAREA01answersStoryMap::file— Mutation's field events. - (play) [[209]], [[225]]: Mutation's flag race (menus 88-91, thePG_FLAGgimmick, the racers,ccThEvent's second flag) is not ported — Mutation's Grunty race. - (play) [[272]]: Kyvia's later fights (levels 2-5, the EX mode); fields 10-12 are not played through (docs/engine/evarea.md, boss-kyvia.md, GAPS.md) — Mutation onward. - (play) docs/engine/battle.md:ccBoss04's Affect and AI are not ported — a later volume's boss. - (play) [[118]]: the later volumes' bosses'effSmokecalls are not ported (docs/engine/effects.md Unknown) — the later bosses' smoke. - (play) [[72]], [[84]]: the otherEVENTAREAclasses (04-06; areas 66, 67, 91) get generated fields (docs/engine/evarea.md, field-walk.md) — the later volumes' story maps; no Infection script reaches them. - (play) [[112]]:EVENTAREAB0'sNextStage(field 8,se4_8) is not ported (docs/engine/evarea.md) — a later volume's last arena. - (play) [[114]], [[157]]: type 32's tree and leaves (ANM_se4_2lea,LEAF) are not ported (docs/engine/dungeon.md) — a later volume's event room. - (play) [[220]]: on Outbreak and QuarantineGetEventAreaInfo(0)returns NULL where the port finds row 0 — Outbreak's and Quarantine's areas. - (play) [[77]], [[260]]:DrawMapof towns 2-4 draws four sprites in the later volumes; [[260]] and docs/engine/map.md say the port draws three, butcrates/piney-world/src/map/town.rsnow carries a fourth (MARKS) on the towns' own layers: to confirm against the game — the later towns' maps. - (play) [[260]]: which events place characters in Fort Ouph and Lia Fail — Outbreak's and Quarantine's stories. - (volumes) [[198]], [[218]], [[220]]: the functions voldiff marks changed (296 on Mutation, 561 on Outbreak, 565 on Quarantine; 11 missing among those the port covers on Mutation): Mutation's are read as met ([[219]] to [[228]]), Outbreak's and Quarantine's not (GAPS.md Phase 3). - (volumes) [[265]]: Outbreak's and Quarantine's dungeon, area and sound tables are not compared with Mutation's. - [[20]], [[239]]: the names of the functions in the unnamed stretches; they survive nowhere. - [[173]]: only unnamed stretches of 8 KB or more were looked at; how much of Outbreak's and Quarantine's unnamed code is Infection's recompiled would need shape matching. - [[20]]: which compiler options changed between Mutation and Outbreak. - [[25]]: whether the hardwaresqrt.srounds as eemu models it; needs a console. - [[205]]: Mutation's remaining carry misses (@1489inChangeScene,@5293-@5295inExecute,InitSpcParam's default item lists), and Outbreak's and Quarantine's (23 and 28 after [[206]]). - [[221]], [[222]], [[224]]: the code that reads Mutation's newccSkillvector andccAIfields:+0x24is read ([[223]]);+0xa0and the hit fields beyonditem_firstare unread. - [[224]]: the port keeps 750gimPosslots, where Mutation searches only the first 75 per floor with fewer than ten floors (a rare case). - [[227]]: whattalkNum[1]stands for on Mutation and what sets it; the port only reads it. - [[227]]: where the English party tables are short, whether the game plays the next table's rows. - [[235]]: whether a Mutation save can ever make events 2-4 run; their conditions need events 1 and 2 done. - [[263]]: why event 108 logs in to Dun Loireag. - [[248]], [[250]]: the level and equipment a player carrying Infection's clear data brings to event 104 and to Mutation's dungeons, against the start's.
